Koragaha Lodge is a cosy and well-managed lodge that provides a safari-style experience.
It’s simple but modern and well-maintained, sitting just a 15-minute drive from Yala National Park and within reach of Uda Walawe game park. Awake to the sound of birdsong from your comfortable chalet - keep your eyes peeled for peacocks in the gardens, too - before venturing into the park for game drives where you may spot leopards, elephants, and crocodiles, alongside incredible biodiversity. You’ll also find trails and temples to explore nearby. Koragaha is a great choice to disconnect and enjoy Yala’s nature.
As you’re so close to nature, don’t be surprised if you encounter a few harmless bugs; we recommend bringing insect repellant and keeping the door to your room closed.
There’s limited phone reception so come prepared to disconnect. WiFi is available but can be unreliable
Food options are limited but that’s to be expected with a remote property like this
Families are welcome, but amenities are not specifically designed with families in mind.
Located along Kirinda-Situlpawwa Road, a 5-minute drive from Yoda Kandiya town, and a 4-hour drive from Colombo International Airport.
What our travellers say
We went to Sri Lanka as a three-generation family of three. The superb trip was organised by Samanthie and the team and it's difficult to see how it could have been bettered.
