Jewellery Making

Back to Experiences Add to favourites

Learn traditional Sri Lankan silver jewellery-making techniques during this hands-on 1.5-2 hour workshop where you'll discover the cultural significance and history behind this ancient craft.

Guided by a seasoned artisan, you'll use simple tools and natural materials to create your own personalised piece of jewellery, learning age-old methods from melting and shaping silver to detailed handcrafting that transforms raw materials into wearable art. This authentic experience celebrates traditional craftsmanship whilst allowing you to design something uniquely your own, giving you a deeper appreciation for the skill and cultural heritage behind each handmade piece.

You'll take home your beautifully crafted creation as a special keepsake, along with newfound knowledge of techniques passed down through generations of Sri Lankan artisans. Not suitable for children due to the precision required and tools involved, the workshop includes your expert host, refreshments, all materials for hands-on jewellery making, and your finished piece as a souvenir of this immersive cultural experience.
