The most off-the-beaten-track of the Annapurna lodges, Tomijong sits among rice terraces near a traditional bee-keeping village, away from the main trekking circuit and all the better for it.
The 18 rooms are fresh and well appointed with slate floors, rafted ceilings and proper hot showers, and the food is cooked with care using local produce. For those wanting to go a step further, the team can arrange a meal with a Gurung family in the village; the kind of evening that tends to be the highlight of a trip.
