Kanha
The largest national park in India, and one of the top three for tiger sightings, Kanha is a firm favourite among photographers.
Its grass meadows, bordered by bamboo groves and dense sal forests, sit among pristine river valleys and offer the perfect backdrop to its bountiful wildlife.
The park’s conservation work with Barasingha deer has led to a thriving population for this once endangered species, while venturing out on a safari here also offers the chance to spot leopards, sloth bears, pythons, langurs and wild dogs, together with over 300 species of birds from kingfishers and warblers to eagles and hornbills.
