Tailor-Made Bhutan Tours

Set high in the eastern Himalayas, Bhutan unfolds as a land of dramatic mountain scenery, ancient monasteries and a culture shaped profoundly by Buddhism. Preserved through a pioneering approach to tourism and conservation (that carefully limits visitor numbers), Bhutan remains one of the world’s most unspoiled and authentic destinations and a true favourite of ours at Red Dot. Our private tours of Bhutan are carefully designed based on our detailed knowledge and connections and your very specific interests and pace.

Throughout the year, vibrant religious festivals animate towns and valleys with colour and ritual, while spring and summer bring hillsides and forests alive with rhododendrons, wildflowers and blossoming trees. The aim of our tailor-made journeys to Bhutan is to bring all of these elements to life with private and very specialist local guiding and carefully created experiences.

Less mountainous than its neighbour, Nepal, yet no less beautiful, across the country you'll find exquisitely positioned places to stay offering understated comfort, often framed by mountains, rivers and open valleys. In Paro, the iconic Tiger’s Nest monastery is breathtaking, while Thimphu offers an insight into typical daily life in the capital that can't be missed. Punakha feels more tropical and is defined by gentle rivers and fertile rice growing valleys. Gangtey, a personal favourite of ours, offers something even quieter and untouched.

Unlike anywhere else on earth, a private tour of Bhutan rewards those who take their time, inviting a deeper understanding of the subtle traditions, values and quiet beauty that define this remarkable kingdom. We feel Bhutan is perfect for those who have visited some other parts of Asia before, as we feel its beauty is quieter, more understated and very authentic.  We feel this is best appreciated when compared to other parts of the continent that are much more developed. Our tailor-made tours to Bhutan really allow for this slower and deeper approach to travel as it can be completely planned around you.
